‘Rosool’…..(Wood of Apples )…is a beautiful 200 year old authentic Irish cottage. Ryder Cup Accommodation nestled in the middle of the countryside yet only a 4/5 minute drive from the motorway. From the motorway Adare is a 15 minute drive. The house itself was built in 1846 and I have retained as much of the natural charm both inside and on the grounds. The kitchen is a fine spacious room ..although with all modern appliances..it has the charm and atmosphere of an old kitchen. The room beside the kitchen, which once was an old sitting area is now a cozy dining area with high ceiling and has an old stove. Still in the original part of the cottage is a small but cute washroom, with shower washbasin and toilet. Further on and at the end of the original part of the cottage is a reading area, which connects the cottage with the barn. It is a super snug place to sit and relax with a coffee or glass of wine, double doors open out onto a small patio. Off this area is the master bedroom complete with a spacious bathroom. This main bedroom looks out onto the back garden …so lovely . The barn has been converted into the main sitting room …it is a large unique place with wooden floors and high wooden ceiling . There is a large open fireplace and lots of comfortable Sofas and chairs to lounge in . Off this sitting room are 2 more bedrooms .A double bedded room and a single. Both have washbasins and really comfy beds. Each bedroom has fluffy new towels, Egyptian Cotton sheets and luxurious toiletries . A hamper of Irish goodies will be waiting for you on arrival. There is a large garden area that you can relax and eat outdoors. Shannon airport is a 20 minute drive . Cork is approximately 1 hour 20 minutes away.
